Even though Summer is almost over, there is still time to have some fun. And with the Summer clearance sales going on you can stock up on the ever popular pool noodles! (if for nothing else than to say "pool noodles" as many times as you can)
Here are 5 things that you can do with pool noodles: 5. Obstacle course: Let your imagination go wild with a bunch of pool noodles and maybe some hoola hoops. Create jumps; foot exercises; balancing challenges (try putting a ball on the end and walking with it upright to bring the ball to a new location without dropping it); carry one behind your back so you do a challenge hands-free; you can really go crazy! 4. Race Tracks: Cut a noodle in half lengthwise and create race tracks for all those Hot Wheels you have laying around. String a few together and see how far they can go! 3. Mini-Golf or Croquet: Arch some noodles and try to hit the ball through them. Simple! 2. Year-round Noodles: Who says pool noodles are just for the Summer? Stock up (they are so cheap) and keep them tucked away for craft days and holidays. Maybe you can cut one up to use as part of a Halloween costume? Cut them up into O's and use them as super safe building blocks. Use them as garden borders or maybe thread electrical cords through them for outdoor lighting then cover with dirt to keep moisture and animals away from them. Paint them silver or white and then string fairy lights and garland on them to frame your doorway at the holidays. (or just get red and green ones and go crazy) Really, use your imagination!! 1. Luminaries: One of my favorite pool noodle ideas comes from Create Craft Love. It's as easy as slicing up a noodle and putting a battery operated tea light in it. While they are great for floating in a pool, I'm thinking they would be great in the winter stuck in the snow to light up your walkway or deck!
